Wig holding products:
No. A wig will not prevent your hair from growing back. However, if glues are used then please seek advice from your stylist.
We wouldn't recommend this however if you do, we recommend you wear an old wig/hairpiece to swim in. If this is not possible, you must wash the wig or hairpiece immediately after to rinse out any chlorine etc.
We do not recommend this, it will cut the lifespan of the wig/hairpiece in half. However, we understand this is not always possible so if you do, sleeping on a silk pillow is recommended. You can purchase our friction free silk pillow case here.
A wig cap is optional. It can be used to wrap up any existing hair or to act as a barrier against the wig.
WIG CUTTINGS AND FITTINGS
In all of our salons we will cut and style your piece. Most of the time, we will not need to alter any of the stock items, in most case it will just be a trim. If you prefer any of the human hair wigs or Custom Made then as standard a full restyle will be carried out to your personal style.
More advanced materials and techniques are constantly being explored by our research and development team at Trendco. Whatever the future may bring, clients may be assured that Trendco aims to continue at the forefront of all that is new and the very best in the hair replacement industry.
Appointments are advisable but please call the branch that you would like to visit. Private rooms are available upon request as these are limited.
HOW TO MEASURE HEADS FOR WIGS
To get the maximum comfort and security when wearing your wig, we recommend that you firstly measure your head for an accurate size. The average adult head size is 54cm, which majority of our wigs are but we do have a range of petite wigs too. Most of the wigs do come with an adjustable strap inside the cap which you can 1inch smaller or larger.
Make sure you flatten down any hair you have so it is not in the way when measuring and always use a soft measuring tape.
To measure your head, start at the front of your head at the hairline in the centre, place the start of the tape flat against your head. Feeding the tape through your fingers and around your head, going down to the nape then back up around the opposite side of your head returning back to the front. This is the circumference of your head. Always measure in Inches.
The front of the wig should settle into your natural hairline, four fingers above your eyebrows and it should come down to natural hairline at the back (nape).

FIBRE AFTERCARE ADVICE
If worn daily, we recommend you follow the steps below every 7-10 days.
Â
STEP 1: DETANGLING - GENTLY BRUSH
Using a wire wig brush, gently brush to remove all knots and tangles before washing.
STEP 2: RINSE & SHAMPOO
For shorter styles: Fill a basin or large bowl with LUKEWARM water and mix in a small amount of T-Range shampoo until it has dissolved. Submerge your wig or hairpiece into the basin or large bowl and leave to soak for a couple of minutes. For longer styles, use running water, and ensure the water flows in the same direction as the hair to avoid tangling and damage. Next, lather your T-Range shampoo between your hands before gently applying the solution to the root area of your piece. Gently rinse away all product residue. Repeat if desired.
STEP 3: CONDITION
Using your fingers smooth a small amount of T-Range Softening conditioner through midlengths and ends, avoiding the base altogether. Gently brush through conditioner from midlengths to ends, whilst securely holding the base to avoid damage. Rinse thoroughly.
STEP 4: WRAP
Wrap piece in a towel, dabbing softly to remove excess moisture.
STEP 5: BRUSH
Supporting the base, gently brush your hairpiece or wig from midlength to end. Once brushed, place on a polyhead or wig stand.
STEP 6: DRY
At this stage, whilst it is damp, apply a light spray of the T-Range Soften ‘N’ Sheen and leave to air-dry naturally.
STEP 7: SHAKE & GO
Once dry, gently shake or brush your wig or hairpiece into the desired style. Once happy, for additional hold you may wish to apply some of the T-Range Holding Spray. For all other styling purposes we recommend Redken’s Styling range.

MAINTENANCE ADVICE
It is not recommended that you sleep in a fibre wig or hairpiece as this can result in friction frizz and a shorter life span. We would expect a well-maintained fibre item to last around 4-6 months, however some longer length styles may last only 2-3. Please keep in mind that these timeframes are based upon every day wear and that it is normal for your piece to shed during that time, excess shedding however can be due to poor upkeep. Speak to your Aderans stylist about how best to get the most out of your item.
