Flowers for
Everybody
The Lotus flower is easily recognised, some of you may even know somebody who has been bold enough to paste one onto their skin in permanent ink. But why is it such a phenomenon? Well, it is the behaviour of the lotus that holds it in such high spiritual esteem.
The lotus flower holds the ability to rise from the murky, muddied waters without stains. Returning during the evening only to then open their unmarked blooms once again at daybreak; lotus flowers are seen as a symbol of strength, resilience, and rebirth.
The Sentoo Lotus collection carries the same promise, a million miles from the synthetic wigs of the past, the styles within the Lotus collection bring durability, comfort, and the possibility for the wearer to really experience a new version of self – a rebirth if you will.
This is intentional, may I add, with the range being expertly crafted to provide the best possible fit, while never sacrificing on style. Offering a lace front and differing cap constructions in mono, hand tied, or wefted, the collection caters to everybody.
Lotus was, to put it simply, produced out of passion.
The wigs themselves do seem to have remained the industries best-kept secret though. Well, arguably until Jane and myself began our webinar journey some two years ago. For the longest time I would hear Jane comparing wigs to those within the Sentoo collection, wondering why exactly she ranked them so highly. It was always Sentoo or Cyber, Lotus this, Lotus that. Well, with 4 new styles entering the range and our audience going mad for them, I guess its time for me to share that secret and take a walk in that same flower garden with you.
Fuchsia:
In the range we now have the Fuchsia, a mid-length chic style with tousled beachy waves. A personal favourite of mine. This is one that I already know is going to be one of those defining styles; in the same way that the Evanna quickly became so well-loved by our customers. This style offers you that very Californian fresh-from-the-surf and yet ready-for-the-photocall feel. Giving you glossy, soft waves and a forward-falling natural movement to the hair, this style is a key look for the summer months.
Recommendation: If you usually suit a medium-to-light cooler brown or dark blonde, check this one out in the gorgeous new Aspen Melange Rooted for that extremely bohemian summer look.
Gardenia:
A longer bob, the Gardenia is collar-length with a soft side-fringe. It speaks for itself really; this style captures all the aspects of the classic bob. Its sleek, glamorous and age-defying. My thoughts are, you could pop this style on a twenty-year-old, cut in a couple of jagged layers, spray it with some wax blast and go full rock chick but I appreciate it as it comes too! Maybe I’ve been listening to a little too much Avril Lavigne, but in any case, Gardenia is an all-rounder.
Recommendation: Purple Heart. You won’t regret this choice, its vibrant and bold, and leading into the autumn months will be an absolute must-have.
Primrose:
A very welcomed new style, the Primrose is a short, graduated bob that frames the face with soft waves to provide an effortlessly casual but contemporary approach to the pixie cut. Giving the illusion of an outgrown crop, this style is sure to prove elegant in all situations. Giving the wearer the option to push the fringe away from the face or to simply let it fall over one eye, there is a real cool factor to this one!
Recommendation: If you’re looking to turn some heads when out and about this season, and really say (in the words of Girls Aloud) “Here I am, walking primrose”, then check out the Sugarberry; a soft baby pink tone.
Daisy:
Finally, we have Daisy, a short asymmetric layered style with a choppy textured crown. Okay, before I carry on, I have to say that this style is one which makes you so very grateful for rooted colours. The extreme texture on Daisy provides a natural appearance when combined with a darker root. Again, this is a style which lends itself well to the use of some product to further emphasise the texture. Framing the face nicely with a swept fringe, the Daisy will leave you looking cool as a cucumber, whatever the occasion!
Recommendation: If you’re feeling bold and aren’t a natural light blonde, opt for the Willow Rooted and give the look some edge. It’s the perfect piece to pair with a summer dress or a leather jacket – depending on your mood!
