As you will find out later in this blog, reading is a great self-care practice, so grab a cuppa, some biscuits and take a few minutes out of your evening to read our self-care tips! Life can be hectic, but you should always make some time to look after yourself – inside and outside! Â
SkincareÂ
Taking time in the mornings and evenings to look after your skin is so important, especially when going through a hair loss journey. Â
- Cleanse: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser to remove impurities.Â
- Moisturise: Use a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated and smooth.Â
- Protect: Apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin from harmful UV rays!Â
Wig & Scalp CareÂ
Your wigs and scalp deserve some love and attention just like any other part of your body!Â
- Wig Care: It can be easy to forget to look after your wig, but a deep clean and condition can do wonders for your piece! Put some time aside once a week to maintain your wigs, we recommend trying our aftercare kits – they are specifically made for wigs and hairpieces! At our Aderans salons, our stylists also offer adeep conditioning and maintenance service! Â
- Scalp Care: Taking care of your scalp is just as important as taking care of your wigs! Did you know we offer a Hair Spa experience in selected Aderans salons and Hair Centres? It’s the perfect indulgent self-care treat! Â
MindfulnessÂ
Caring for your mental health is just as important as physical care. Take time to relax and de-stress!Â
- Meditation: Spend a few minutes each day meditating. It helps to clear your mind and reduce stress.Â
- Journaling: Write down your thoughts, feelings, and goals. Journaling is a great way to process emotions and set positive intentions.Â
- Me-Time: Indulge in activities that make you happy, whether it’s reading a book, taking a bath, or watching your favourite show!Â
Exercise Â
Moving your body is amazing for your mental health too! Having a fun class to look forward to is a great way to keep healthy – mind and body! Or make it simple and go on a walk around your local area.  Â
Connecting with peopleÂ
It is so important to surround yourself with positive people. Catching up with friends and family is an instant serotonin boost! Nourishing your relationships can be a great way to feel more connected. Â
Hair loss can be daunting, so if you find yourself looking for like-minded people to chat with, join our Aderans community! We hold regular hair loss workshops and support groups in our 7 salons around the UK. Â
