Being Someone New

I believe there are two types of people in this life; those who are planners and live in the future and those who pull it out of the bag on the day, living solely in the moment. As a planner myself, I am going to go ahead and (perhaps wrongly) assume that if you have spooky plans this weekend, by now you’ll know what you’re dressing up as. You will know roughly what you are going to do with your hair and whether you require a new style for the event.

For those who are dressing up this weekend, in my last blog I touched upon the importance of hair in creating iconic Halloween looks from recent cultural figures, however, this spans back to early civilisations; think Cleopatra’s iconic braided bob wig from the ancient world. Dressing up is a lot of fun; it’s fun playing somebody else for a little while, don’t you think?

This time of year is a great time to play with colour and style, reinventing our image a little for the autumnal mood that surrounds us or glamming up for the rapidly approaching party season. Be that enhancing your natural growing bio hair, customising a wig or hairpiece, or changing your look altogether with a full wig - the possibilities are endless!

The colours of the season are very reminiscent of the falling leaves; Aurburns, Coppers, Mocha Brunettes and earthy Tweed Blondes.
